In the heart of Hong Kong, the Pedder Building is the last pre-war building on Pedder Street. The history and the architecture of the building inspired the design of Pedder Arcade. The iconic arch windows informed the design direction and the characteristics of the space. Pedder Arcade transforms an entire floor of the Pedder Building into an intimate, tranquil and sophisticated shopping environment. It makes extensive use of The Pedder Building’s distinctive windows and floorspace, while adding comfortable areas to lounge, drink and dine amidst some of the most interesting luxury retail Hong Kong has to offer. Featuring a series of virtual skylights in the atrium, the circadian sky mimics that of natural day to evening cycle creating a warm and natural atmosphere. The concourse along the floor to ceiling windows creates an intimate corridor to window shop and a quiet space to rest in the midst of the hustle bustle of Central.
