A Boring Capitalism was created by a Hong Kong based small developing team that aims to convert old industrial spaces into modern office lofts with a tasteful yet functional interior. The main challenge of this project was to design the space to create three similar size offices with full bathrooms and pantry on an economical budget. Our solution was to utilize a raised platform to run all of our pipings below which allowed for an evenly distributed space and a sizable window frontage in each unit as well as running exposed electrical metal pipes on the wall. To meet the budget, we sourced off-the-shelf materials and hardware but tried to re-design and use these materials in an innovative way. We designed details like the custom door handles and feature brick wall to enhance the space.
