W.W. Chan & Sons

Hong Kong, China SAR    2013

One of the oldest and most well-respected tailors in Hong Kong, W.W. Chan is one of the original “Red Gang” tailoring lineages that still holds the traditional formal process and creative forms of the art of bespoke tailoring.  For their new shop, we redesigned their interior branding to bring a sense of modernity while drawing references to their original store located on Nathan Road in the 1950s. The black metal mullions and curved glass façade frames the entrance as you enter the store. A touch of European reference of the mosaic flooring guides you into the main space while rows of shelves filled with bunch books of suiting materials, collar and cuff displays line the walls. The feature displays are upholstered with Dashing Tweed fabrics to highlight their impeccably tailored suits. The store consists of its main space, as well as two generously large fitting rooms and a back of house on-site workshop.
