Dental Clinic

Hong Kong, China SAR     2017

The design brief for this dental clinic was to deliver a relaxing lounge-like experience for their dental patients.

As the floor plan is very deep with windows located only on one side, the team was conscious in choosing a material and colour palette that is light-weight in order to maximise natural light intake to create a bright and airy environment.  The space had a very restricted ceiling height, so indirect lighting was carefully considered to help create a spacious feeling where natural light is lacking.

Aside from looking after adult patients, the clinic also offers paediatric dental treatments.  Playful design and graphics have been implemented around the children clinic area. A playroom and vanity area are designed specifically for younger children to have a pleasant dental check-up experience.
